Answer Pregnancy Test

by admin on June 1, 2011

If you’ve found your way to this site, then I’ll assume you’re looking for information about the Answer Pregnancy Test. Like all pregnancy test kits, the Answer Pregnancy Test kit checks your urine for a hormone called hcg. The presence of any amount of hcg hormone indicates that a woman is pregnant.

How do you use the Answer Pregnancy Test Kit?

After conducting a poll, it turned out that this was the information that most women who come to this website are looking for, followed closely by information about how to interpret the test results when the line is faint. We’ll cover the first question in this post, and the second question in the next.

There are three different types of answer pregnancy test. Each one has slightly different instructions for use.

1)Answer Pregnancy Test

As you can probably guess from the name, this is the original home pregnancy test from the Answer company, and still the most popular. This test is great for women who think that holding a stick in their urine is a bit gross. This test is a little more sanitary, cutting down the chances that you’ll get urine on your hands. What you do is to fill a small plastic cup (included) with your urine, just as you would for a urine test at the doctor’s office. Then, you take one of the pregnancy test strips, and dip it in the cup of urine for 5 seconds. Finally, you lay it on the counter for 2 minutes. The test kit doesn’t come with a cap or cover, so make sure that the counter where you lay it down is clean to avoid contamination or possible inaccurate results. How do you read the test results? Simple. One line means you are NOT pregnant. Two lines means you ARE pregnant. No lines means the test strip has gone bad and should be thrown out or taken back for a refund. These typically cost from 7 to 10 dollars in price, and are 97% accurate.

2)Answer Quick and Simple One-Step Pregnancy Test

The Answer Quick and Simple One-Step Pregnancy Test is quick, simple and cheap. No bells or whistles. It just works. One thing that it really has going for it is that it can give accurate results sooner than any of the other Answer pregnancy test kits. This test can give you results as soon as four days BEFORE you even have a missed period. Like most home pregnancy tests, it looks for a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) to be present in the urine. The closer you are to your period, the higher your hcg level will be, and the more accurate the test will be. According to the company that makes this test, it is 69% accurate for women who test within 4 days of their next period, 83% accurate for women who test within 3 days of their next period, and 93% accurate for those who test within 2 days of when they would normally expect their period.

This version of the Answer pregnancy test uses a test stick that you hold in your urine stream for 5 seconds as you use the toilet. You then set it on the counter and wait for 3 minutes to get the result. As with the above-mentioned test, one line means not pregnant, 2 lines means pregnant, and no lines means the test is no good and should not be used. As always, you should follow up any positive test with your doctor so that he/she can do a blood test to confirm the pregnancy. The price of this pregnancy test kit also runs between $7-$10.

3)Answer One-Step Pregnancy Test

This version is very similar to the “Quick and Simple” early pregnancy test. You do need to wait until you’ve actually missed your period with this one, but you can test as soon as the first day when you expect your period has come and gone with no bleeding or blood spotting. The instructions are the same – you use a test strip that you hold in your urine stream and then wait 3 minutes for the results. As always, one line means not pregnant, 2 lines means pregnant, and no lines means the test is no good and should not be used. The price of this pregnancy test is between $4 and $7, depending on where you purchase it.

How Do Pregnancy Tests Work?

by admin on July 13, 2011

Pregnancy TestThe way in which pregnancy tests work is by discovering the presence of the hormone known as hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin), which the placenta produces once the embryo has been embedded in the lining of the uterus. Your hCG levels will automatically increase once implantation takes places. The Answer pregnancy test, like so many other pregnancy tests, is able to measure your hCG levels by using your urine. The amount of hCG that is required for the Answer pregnancy test is equivalent to the hCG level found in a majority of pregnant women, approximately eight to eleven days after conception has taken place. First morning urine is favored when taking the Answer pregnancy test, as first morning urine tends to have the highest levels of hCG.

The Answer pregnancy test is available in different varieties. There is the Simple One-Step and the Answer Quick, which both can be used up to three days before your missed period. The basic answer pregnancy test was created to be used on the very first day that you miss your period. Both of these tests are done by urinating on a wand. It is said that the Answer pregnancy test is 99% accurate; however, there have been reports that the Simple One-Step and the Answer Quick have a tendency to produce false positive results.

The two variations of the Answer pregnancy test will indicate that you are pregnant or not pregnant by the absence or presence of pink lines. In order to complete the test you will need to hold the wand in a stream of urine for approximately five seconds, you will then lay the wand down for approximately two minutes. If after the two minutes you see a single pink line, then you are not pregnant; however, if you see two pink lines, then you are pregnant. On the other hand, if no pink lines appear in the test window, it simply means that the Answer pregnancy test did not work.

Advantages of the Answer pregnancy test:

  • One of the most affordable pregnancy tests on the market today.
  • Accurate.
  • Reliable.
  • Fast to read.
  • Easy to use.

Disadvantages of the Answer pregnancy test:

  • There is no cover available for the tip; as such, the urine window is left exposed on the back.

Basic description of the Answer pregnancy test:

  • The kit can be used the very day that your period is late. It measures approximately 100 mIU of hCG.
  • The instructions include illustrations, and they are available in both Spanish and English.
  • The test window is located on the front, and the urine window is located on the back.
